Positive Stress

Nowadays, there are so many different understandings of the word stress: physicochemical, psychological, genetic, family, environmental, collective… In any case, stress is a specific response for multiple possible disorders. By fixing the causes behind, you do solve not only the stress, but you also liberate a reserve of potentialities and great performances never used so far.

Our contemporary world has rated all physicochemical (endocrine and adrenal metabolism) and psychological effects on the body when stress becomes chronic. The most obvious expression of the resulting manifest exhaustion (collapse of resistance) is the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); today well known by the public and participating in professional burn-out: repeated stress, overflowing a person’s presupposed boundaries and causing imbalance in the physical and emotional day-to-day life.

The consequences can be more or less important, depending on the reality of life for each individual. Genetic factors are thus added, family and environmental, contributing to the collapse of a person’s resilience, according to his own story and the way in which he perceives reality. Reactions to stress will be a projection of our own physical and mental skills to deal with situations, that until then seemed completely improbable, or inexistant; because out of our usual range of perception.

Yet the adaptation of the individual to the outside world is made thanks to the functions of adaptation and to the types of attitude, which are at the disposal of the will, in the conscious mind. This adaptation itself is relying on the adaptation to our internal world, at the same time to the repressed part of the experiences we found unacceptable and to the part of our collective unconscious, which connects us to our biotype and to the history of the humanity: what we call the big archetypes. And which are embedded in archaic images representing universal and timeless creations, and which became concepts (myths, dreams and mysteries we seek for in all the books, arts, movies, music, etc.).

We are more than the sum of what is in us.

As well as conscious contents of our psyche can disappear in the Unconscious, new contents which were maybe never conscious can emerge from it. But these, arising from the repression or pre-existing to the person, are not right up usable by the conscious mind; not only the person has no hold on them, but more than often they control her. They can then have a negative effect, since everything that is unconscious is projected (Singular phenomenon by which an individual “marks” on an object or a being of the ambient world, a content or a psychic tone which is solely and in reality, a feature of his internal life).

If we could learn how to transform our usual perceptions of our everyday life, any situation of stress would become a source of learning and of transcending of ourselves. We could then acquire new skills, which would transport us in new completely approachable realities of our existence. Instead of exhaustion, there would this rebound, which constitues the positive part of the stress. Once passive and fragile tool of my environment, I now become the architect of my reality and creator of new concepts, which I make available for others.

Every craftsman has his workbench, his forge, his workshop. It’s waiting for you at the click of your mouse: Village Network. Listen, between the hammer and the anvil of our companions craftsmen, a hint of melody rises up and invites you to leave your paralyzing and already old-fashioned projections…
